Quick question: have you ever put off building your own creator website because it felt too expensive, too complicated… or just too overwhelming?
My author website has been on Squarespace for a good few years, but lately I’ve felt called to simplify more and more in my life and so I bit the bullet, cancelled my Squarespace contract and rebuilt my entire site using Notion.
It’s completely free to set up and host, simple to build and now it’s quick and easy to update.
Notion is where I already organise my writing life and podcast - it’s almost where I outsource my brain! So it just made sense to create a home for my public creative life there too — a space for readers to find out about me and my books, explore free resources, and get in touch.
Here’s a little video of how it looks…
If you’ve been thinking about starting a website (or rethinking your current one), I hope this gives you a little inspiration to try something new.
Let me know what you think, and if you'd like a step-by-step tutorial, drop a comment or hit reply — I’d be happy to share more about the process.
I also have a template you can download here.

Very cool! And very inspiring. I have been diving into Notion, too, and am excited for the potential. I love that you have templates available! Thank you for sharing. 🙌
